Concrete Science, Inc. performed flooring evaluation and testing and evaluation was to determine the causes of distress in the rubber flooring bonded to the slab.
The rubber flooring showed distress in the form of bubbles at random locations throughout the facility.
Reportedly, these bubbles in the rubber flooring had started appearing within 2 to 3 months after the rubber flooring installation .
Moisture vapor emission rate tests (MVER), pH, and relative humidity (R.H).
Removing flooring to examine installation and condition of adhesive.
Uncured adhesive found under the flooring.
Cores through the slab to observe construction details, condition of vapor retarder under the slab, and obtain sand samples for the moisture content tests.
